Note that Louis has gone Free Religion on me (some time ago). I'm now relying more on my army (yes I have an army now) than French good will.

One more overview:

I used a Scientist and an Artist to spawn a golden age while my cities are all constructing their factories. (That's one of my favorite times for a GA).

Also note that I just Popped Another One(TM).

Yet another wonder race lost for me:

I did get the Statue, though, and Broadway.

I had a brain fart when I used a Great Artist at Vilcas, though (some time back). I got distracted by that blight on my land.

The problem is that I had well over forty percent of the population in the world, and that was only going to get worse, not better. Since military was out, and true diplomacy was out, I was looking at a low scoring Back Door Domination, or a Time win, or... Cultural. (I should not have used that Artist on something so trivial!)

Oh well.
