Sirian's Vikings

My scenerio involves a custom civ with its own unique unit: the Vikings, and the War Galley. The Vikings are Militaristic and Religious. They start with three techs: Pottery, Alphabet, and Writing. Their color is blue, and they replaced Germany, so you will see the German leader head and German-related civilopedia entries. The War Galley is an upgraded galley unit, comes with mapmaking, can carry up to three units onboard, has attack value of 2, and a weak bombardment option. The scenerio involves a custom map tailored to fit speficially with this civ, and the savegames come with all civs in their correct starting locations.

The current version of Sirian's Vikings is v0.9 - set up to function correctly with Civ III v1.17f

IN ORDER TO PLAY SIRIAN'S VIKING SCENERIO, YOU MUST INSTALL THE FILES TO SUPPORT THE WAR GALLEY UNIT.

INSTRUCTIONS:

1) CLICK HERE to download the War Galley zip file.

2) Open up Windows Explorer, locate your Civ III directory, open up the Art\units folder, and create a new subdirectory (folder) UNDER CivIII\Art\units. You must name this new folder War Galley -- not sure if the capitalization matters, but there has to be a space between the two words (I think the folder name must exactly match the name of the unit).

3) Extract the contents of the wargalley.zip to CivIII\Art\units\War Galley\*.*

That's it, you are now set up for some brutal ancient naval action. I do not have support for Mac at this time, nor even know what would be involved, but any Mac players in the know who would like to help me out in that regard may contact me.

If you wish to try your hand at the Viking scenerio, I've generated a savegame for each difficulty level. Choose the level(s) of your choice from the list below. If you have questions, problems, or comments, feel free to email me. Thank you.

If you would like to play as (or against) the Vikings, on random maps, you may Download the Vikings mod and unzip the BIC file to your CivIII\Scenerios folder. Note that you need the War Galley support files correctly installed or the game will crash.
