WHADDYA MEAN THREE-WAY VOTE???

Oh, fiddlesticks. Cra... Po... La. Bah and humbug.
Now see here, I had a big argument with Zed and some others long way back around RBD SG6 or so about three way votes. I argued that three way votes came along any time you were third or lower in tile count. The collection of people disagreeing with me insisted that being first or second in either Population OR Tile Count would throw it into a direct head to head vote. They were so persistent, I came to believe them.
Well, check it out. I am first in population but third in land area, and there's a darned three way vote! Great. So I was right all along. Oh just grand. Now I get to play this out to a launch??? And I failed to meet my personal goal of diplo victory on a tiny map. Grr.
I managed to get the Greeks to learn Rocketry for me, their free tech, then to research Space Flight and Sattelites, while I chased the Synthetics and Laser branches. I would only have to research seven of the ten modern techs.
Then the Greeks CHOSE UNWISELY with another sneak attack. I was already irritated at having to play beyond my game plan. Do not mess with the man with the modern armor!

Four cities fell on the first turn, including burning their capital to the ground. Three turns later, the Greeks were gone. Well, except for their new capital out on the one-tile island.
By the by, that one-tile island was generated by the map creation, not me. First time I have seen it make a one-tile island.
I would have wiped out the Greeks, but I did not care enough to spend yet more time to research Amphibious.

I repeat, do not mess with the man with the modern armor! Silly AI.

Second game in a row without a great leader? How long is my leader luck drought going to continue???
