So what does India go and do? They declare war on Persia! (Somebody save me from these idjits, pleeeeease!)
And where does Persia have a city? One city on our continent nibbled off the north end of China. So India goes from sending all its army into China to keeping it there. Gandhi seemed determined to flash enough leg at Temujin until he could no longer resist. Yep, the end is coming to Gandhi now. The war with Mongolia has begun.

OK, you see that I'm up to Flight? That does not mean that I have Replaceable Parts yet. OK? I do not. With my pikes and samurai, am I any kind of match for Temujin? No. Is Korea? No. Is India? No. Put all three of us together, with those dunderhead AI's having spent all their strength on China, and combined are we a match for Mongolia? The answer is no.
Now... what am I going to do about it? For now, I decide to pray.
Oops, god's line must be busy!

Well, at least I managed to poach me some silks! That's a solid consolation prize, right? Huh, don't you think? No? Hmm.
At least there was rubber by that starting lake. I FINALLY HAVE ARMED FORCES! Of course, Temu has tanks. Nobody else on this continent has tanks. He not only has tanks, he has tank armies. Armies as in about half a dozen four-unit tank groups rolling north past my silk-farming peasants at Sapporo. He also has radio. See the towers? Korea does not have radio.
Oh yeah. India down to one city. Temujin in the modern age WITH COMPUTERS. He's rolling about a billion mech infantry around the board now. H-Hour has arrived.
I see two options. Option One: The Prayer Technique. That one did not work out for me in Epic Twelve. Facing down a max-aggressive AI opponent with godlike military advantage in the modern age is begging for more luck than I can possibly scrounge together. Option Two: Dance with the Devil in the pale moonlight.
This is as deep down into my bag of tricks as I have ever had to dig to survive a hopeless situation. Well, here goes nothing. Sometimes it's better to be good than lucky.
