Sirian's Great Library - Strategies for Civilization III
CHRONICLES
RBCiv Epic Twenty-Seven

Rolling up the victories and the promotions. Three elite swords, four, five... Ten elite victories on offense...
Chewin up the enemy. Spittin' em out. Twenty elite victories... Catapults piling up...
OK, y'all. I'm about due for my first leader here now.
Twenty-five elite victories. An elite sword or two goes down to a vicious streak, but don't worry! We'll just promote some more. Use spears on offense and promote them, too! Elites all over the damn place.
Thirty elite victories...
Um...
OK now. I'm way past due for a leader here. Haha funny, now pop a leader.
250BC? Come on, now! My biological clock is ticking! MARRY ME, sweetheart. You know you want to.
230BC... more elite victories. 210BC... Oh come on. The Pyramids are going to fall any turn now!
Oh, there they go. Built in Thebes. Cleo's throwing a golden age party. But don't worry. Yeah that sucks, but I'll still get the Great Library.
Oops, not good. Cascade takes out the Oracle and the Colossus and a bunch of civs JUST got literature like yesterday and cascade to the library.
Well this is not funny any more. I've got packs of elites smacking down the enemy as fast as they come in. I've abandoned all strategy other than "max elite victories", passing up my chance to go put the smack down in the Iro's, and now streaks are taking out more and more of my elites.
150BC... 90BC... OH COME ON YOU PIECE OF...
30BC: India completes the Great Library, Persia cascades to the Great Lighthouse.
10BC...
Man I hope somebody somewhere's getting a belly laugh out of this one. *sigh*
Fifty-five elite victories, only three of those on defense, and that was my spear way over on the iron in the west, as a minisod of Immortals took him out.
Fifty-two elite victories on offense, no leaders. Popped a leader on the fifty-third.
Let me tell you honestly, I was NOT happy. I'm putting a comical spin on it now, because I had faith all the way through that the game wouldn't do to me exactly what it did. I believed. I was wrong.
I saved the game and quit. Time for some MOO3.
