Oops. I guess Monty WOULD be that stupid.

God bless Sun Tzu. That's all I have to say.

This is known as "Choosing Unwisely".

Don't mess with the Lamb! Oui?
Meanwhile, my policy of not attacking AI cities marched on. My latest wonder completed the following turn:

Also, with my golden age abounding, it was time to kick my own research into high gear. Well, then again only as high as needed to bring new techs in in four turns. Any higher was wasted.
Ah, here, finally. Finally!

In 840AD, the last of the world's jungle tiles was cleared away. Um... Developers 1, Environmentalists 0. (This game is really silly that way, too, but that's a fish for another frying pan).

The wonder beat marches on. (Note the Zulu leader headed home from the Aztec front. He waved Hi to Joanie up on her balcony as he passed by Paris).

After the golden period expired, I revolted to swap to democracy for the coming rail fest and, um, because I was required by rule to do so before researching military tradition or any industrial age techs. I had actually intended to do it much sooner, but the Aztecs had other plans, and I didn't want to waste 40% of my golden age on a bad anarchy roll. So where I had wanted to make that change quickly, now I barely snuck under the wire to prevent breaking the rules here. Oh well.
Yet I drew another merciful four turn anarchy. Wow! I guess I was due for a good roll, after having had some long ones recently. While still under anarchy, I drew my seventh and final flip this game. Now embarrassing is THAT, for a wonder-filled capital of a dead empire to prefer a civ in anarchy to living under your rule? Poor Shaka.
